A RECORD-BREAKING community scheme which gives householders the chance to clear their sheds, garages and cupboards of unwanted paint is making a welcome return to Barnsley.
From March 21 to April 18, the Kick Out The Can initiative will allow people to take surplus paint to their local Crown decorating centre in Fall Bank Industrial Centre, Dodworth for recycling.
Sheds, cupboards and garages across the borough are thought to hold thousands of litres of unused paint - which homeowners are being encouraged to recycle.
The paint collected in-store will be re-processed by social enterprise company Nimtech and then donated to community projects.
