A CHOIR is in need of a new musical director or it will be forced to fold.
The choir, formerly known as Kingstone Community Choir and later Horizon Community Choir, has moved to the Rhythm Inc music school on Victoria Street, Barnsley, and is under a new name, the Rhythm Inc Singers.
Member Donna Bedford said: "Our musical director Gary Mulcahy has run it for eight years out of the goodness of his heart, but he's now having to step aside due to other commitments.
"This time it will be a paid position, and it could be someone who's experienced, or someone who is just interested in choirs and might want to try their hand at running one."
The current MD leads the choir from the piano, but Donna said it may be a vacancy for both a conductor and a piano accompanist.Anyone interested should email info@rhythminc.co.uk
