Police are desperate to locate a missing 47-year-old man from Wath.

 

There are growing concerns for the safety of Mohan Singh, who is known as John, who has been missing for two days.

 

He was last seen at Spar Stores, Quarry Hill Road, Wath, where he works, at 10.40am on Monday.

 

After leaving the shop he has turned left onto Quarry Hill Road towards Sandygate.

 

There has been no further sightings or contact with friends or family since.

 

Mohan, is described as Asian, between 168cm and 170cm, medium build with brown eyes and brown short hair with a full beard.

 

He speaks with a Yorkshire accent and was last seen wearing a hooded grey knitted jacket with brown patches on the elbows, dark casual trousers and blue suede effect lace up shoes.

 

He may be wearing a silver bangle on his right wrist and a gold ring on his right hand.

 

Police said it was out of character for Mohan not to assure his family that he is safe and that he clothing was not suitable for the current weather conditions.

 

Mohan has left without significant personal items including his mobile telephone.
