DAVIS Keillor-Dunn says it will take a lot more than his current run of goals to satisfy him in his first season with Barnsley.

The forward has nine goals for the season after joining on deadline day from Mansfield Town.

He is the top-scorer at the club, and in the top ten in the division, having netted four in his last five games.

He told the Chronicle: “I have been a bit disappointed.

“It took me three games to get to the club so I was playing catch-up and getting to know the lads, even though I scored on my debut.

“There were some games when I felt I could influence the result more and score more early in the season.

“It’s about what I can do now.

“I want to get as many wins and goals as I can.”

He added: “My family were calling me a grinch.

“I will be a little bit happier after a few goals but I need a lot more to make me happy.”

Keillor-Dunn’s goal at Peterborough on Sunday was the latest from a set piece routine devised by coach Conor Hourihane.

Keillor-Dunn said: “Conor Hourihane, I think all he does is research corners and throw-ins.

“He’s worked tirelessly.

“It just helps so much when you’re scoring from them like that.

“It’s credit to the staff’s non-stop work then we put it in to practice for the fans.

“We need to give Con a bit of credit.”

That victory at Peterborough was Barnsley’s eighth away from home this season.

Keillor-Dunn said: “If we can keep that away form up, it will be brilliant.

“The fans help us so much, they turn up in their numbers.

“We want to get the conversation away from home and away and just keep getting consecutive wins.”
