A NEW Neighbourhood Watch is now up and running in Shafton.
After a six-month process, project co-ordinator Richard Swaby, of Millside, praised local residents for embracing his idea. So far, 55 members have signed up.
The 65-year-old said: "It just offers reassurance to people and promotes keeping an eye out for each other. There is a community spirit here and the response proves exactly that."
