A Wombwell motocyclist has been taken to Barnsley hospital following a crash in Darfield.
The 20-year-old was is said to be in a stable condition with a suspected broken leg and pelvis.
Police were called to the accident, at the junction of Doncaster Road and Barnsley Road, at 8.11am. It involved a black motorbike and a red Vauxhall Meriva.
Doncaster Road remains closed in the direction of Barnsley from Yew Tree garden centre to Ardsley Crematorium.
Bus services 218, 219 and X19 were diverted via Nanny Marr Road, Snape Hill Road, Station Road and Wombwell bypass to Stairfoot.
Witnesses should relay any information to South Yorkshire Police on non-emegency number 101, quoting incident number 163 of May 2, 2013.
