A LOCAL photographer donated 20 more prints of his work to Barnsley Hospital Charity this week in a bid to raise funds for a cause close to his heart.
Darren Green, from the town centre, has donated some of his wildlife photograph prints to the charity to help raise some money for the service in the past.
And this week he donated 20 more to raise funds for a worthwhile cause.
He told the Chronicle: “I produced a total of 20 prints so that I can assist with some fundraising for Barnsley Hospital Charity.
“They saved my dad’s life last year because he had bowel cancer.
“And they’ve saved my life on a couple of occasions.
“I just wanted to give something back.”
Darren’s previous work has raised hundreds of pounds for the charity - and he’s hoping this donation will help raise even more.
He added: “These prints are of wildlife and animals.
“I’m hoping that they’ll raise about £500 in total.
“One of my prints last year sold for £100.
“There’s more that are going to be going up for auction as well.
“All the work I do is dedicated to my daughter Anita Green and in loving memory of Hope.”
