Herbie Kane, who left Barnsley at the end of last season, has joined Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town.
The midfielder reunites with his former Reds head coach Michael Duff who joined the Terriers earlier this summer.
Kane, 25, made 123 appearances for the Reds after signing in 2020 – scoring 14 goals including ten last season.
Of the other senior players released this summer, former captain Jordan Williams joined Portsmouth while Cole, Cadden and Robbie Cundy are yet to join new clubs.
