TWO Hoyland women have been banned from seeing each other and entering certain shops following their shoplifting sprees.
Jodie Eldred, 35, and 40-year-old Claire Jones, appeared at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 16.
The criminal duo, described as ‘thick as thieves’, went on a shoplifting spree but have now been handed criminal behaviour orders (CBOs) to protect businesses across the borough.
Eldred is not allowed to enter or attempt to enter any One Stop in Barnsley, while Jones is not allowed to enter any One Stop, B and M or McColls store across the town.
The pair have also been banned from associating or be found in the company with one another.
Inspector Rebecca Richardson said: “Eldred and Jones have blighted our local businesses in the Hoyland area and I am pleased a CBO is now in place to offer the stores protection.
“If Eldred or Jones are sighted breaking the conditions of their CBO, please report it to us and we will take action.”
