A WOMBWELL pub has sold at auction for more than £80,000.
The Last Orders, on Park Street, was sold on Monday by auctioneers Lambert Smith Hampton.
It was purchased for £82,000 and while the auction house would not reveal the identity of the buyer, the Chronicle understands it is a private investor who lives in the Barnsley area.
A spokesman for the auctioneer said the buyer had paid a ten per cent deposit and completion of the purchase is expected to be completed within two weeks.
The freehold pub has a large cellar and two upper floors, with three bar areas and a central servery on the ground floor.
The first floor has separate street access and has four rooms and a bathroom, the second has six rooms and two bathrooms with stairs to the loft.
It had a guide price of £75,000.
