A FORD Transit van parked on a road in Barnsley was destroyed by fire shortly before midnight on Wednesday night.
Fire-fighters from Barnsley Station were made aware of the fire at around 11.50pm and arrived at Stanhope Gardens in Old Town shortly afterwards to find the vehicle well alight.
The crew remained at the scene for around half an hour before returning to the station.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the fire had been deliberately started.
