Barnsley have changed their goalkeeper coach with James Bittner – who worked under Darrell Clarke at Cheltenham Town last season – replacing Tom Fawdry.

Fawdry, who has been goalkeeper coach for three seasons, has moved to MLS club Minnesota United to reunite with former Reds chief executive Khaled El-Ahmad.

Bittner, 42, played with new Reds head coach Clarke at non-league Salisbury City and has coached at Plymouth, Newport, Reading and Cheltenham.

He had been on the books at Fulham, Bournemouth and QPR as a player before a long career in non-league football.
