Defender Scott Wiseman is still at Barnsley after a move to Championship rivals Blackpool collapsed when he could not agree personal terms.
The Reds accepted a bid for the 27-year-old earlier this week and general manager Don Rowing said then that it was time Wiseman moved on because he is unpopular with the fans. But the move to Blackpool has now fallen through and Wiseman is set to remain at Oakwell.
Wiseman played for Keith Hill at Rochdale then moved to Barnsley with the manager in 2011 and has scored once in 68 games for the Reds.
He played at right-back last season before being converted into a central defender and made Reds captain. He lost the armband recently, has been booed during recent home games and has had to close down his Twitter account due to fan abuse.
