A SEVEN year old girl is selling her preowned dolls for a charity that is close to her heart.

Reenie Goldsbrough, from Pogmoor, decided to sell some of her LOL toys and dolls that she didn’t play with anymore to raise money for a worthy cause.

“I didn’t really need to play with the dolls anyway,” said Reenie.

“So I thought I could give them away to a good cause. Or do something for someone who needed it.”

Although raising £15 so far, Reenie donated her profits to Louie’s Pace, a campaign to raise £120,000 for Louie George, a young boy who was born at only 28 weeks and has quadriplegic cerebral palsy.

Reenie’s mother, Sarah Goldsbrough, is the cousin of Louie’s mum Jodie and so the young pair call each other cousins.

Reenie wanted to donate the money to a cause close to the family to help Louie get the treatment he needs.

Sarah, 39, said: “For a seven year old girl to come up with the idea herself is so inspiring. We’re all so proud of her, and what an amazing cause close to all of us.”

Reenie plans to continue fundraising, and has donated a black bag full of toys to her grandmother to raise money in a raffle.

Sarah added: “Reenie is still thinking of new ways to keep raising money, she wants to keep selling more of her toys, and has recently helped my mother with her charity raffle.”
